    Hey, all y’all!

We are the Crisses, and we just re-did our headcount and it came out to 156 (someone almost wrote 164 so now we’re wondering who the other 8 are) when we include everything not nailed down in our head (i.e. everything that takes up mental energy/spoons/space). Of that there’s around 21 frequent fronters/officer type folk, and a chunk of crewmates (coconscious folk who generally don’t front), a number of traumaholder passengers who are not fully coconscious but also not lost or stuck, and who knows how many stowaways left to discover.

We have been mapping since 1986, when we first discovered our headmates by name and face, and we are looking forward to playing around with new maps or having fun with different mediums to map portions of our system. One of our headmates likely to do a lot of writing for this course is Moonlite (a dissociated-deaf elf), and presenters for the course will probably be several of the officers who work on the big-picture view of our system and internal landscape, such as Dreal (elf-wolf shapeshifter and mage-healer). We’re still sorting out who else might present — maybe Chrissy (a manager-role headmate within the Christina& DID subsystem), or if we get into some really interesting maps with art, it’s possible Frank (childhood schoolmate introject & comic artist) will join in.

Hope to hear back from folks! 🙂

Ah the good thing to know about System Speak is that there are interview episodes and then some very personal episodes where they talk much more about themselves and their own process. So you might skip around and go to what works for y’all. We like both but can’t keep up with their publication schedule LOL 🙂 And some of us like some, others like others. So we definitely skip around.

We are thankful that we’re out of the “dark ages” when we couldn’t really find community and we had no one really to share ideas or learn from. We are glad there’s a community. It used to be you’d just have shame and hiding, or you’d be out and having to educate everyone and rarely bump into someone who knew what you were talking about. If nothing else — it’s pretty darned clear you are NOT alone.

We used to be stigmatized into the caveman days. Yeah there’s still stigma and oppression, but there’s ever more professionals coming out as plural to colleagues, and activists, and people pushing back — giving folk room to breathe, collaborate, grow, and make a lot of progress together, share ideas, and say “Me too” a lot more often.

Case in point — https://isstdworld.isst-d.org/events/event-description?CalendarEventKey=32538541-3a7b-49b2-a6ba-d81313fccab8&Home=%2fhome – an ISSTD DID awareness day webinar event with Dr. E of System Speak moderating (representing the ISST-D I suppose) – and all panelists are plural (Jaime of An Infinite Mind, Beauty After Bruises, someone from Blue Knot Foundation).

Like how cool is that? Note it’s $10 USD and the registration to get in is kinda grueling. We’ve nudged hard to see if Dr. E can make a recording public after because it’s inaccessible for many reasons.

Reminder, course application deadline for the written application is February 1st. We know several systems are working on their applications — please don’t overthink it 🙂 We would rather get completed lighthearted applications early or on-time than get a bunch of novels to try to read in 2 days lol

We love that some folk just enjoy collaborating over the application. If y’all are struggling with it, you’re likely overthinking it. It’s not an examination in school. Some parts are much more like “free association” than there being a right answer. Every system is different. We get a pretty good sense of what’s going on for y’all even from brief answers.

We look forward to getting to know y’all better.

Please take great care of yourselves,
    Crisses

Thanks so much! We were like “OH we should send them to the survey” and forgot to fix the drop-down menu for the current rounds of group coaching 🙂

It should be fixed now. Thank you for letting us know.

We just added a PDF photo guide for how to add a ribbon to the planner, it’s also linked in the Tips section of the course, but since folk may be past that point, we thought we’d add a notice here 🙂

It’s possibly we screwed that up when trying to set up the site — hrm. We may have thought the “My courses” page was for what courses an instructor was putting up? argh 🙂
